Introducing Spiders Webb, a six men and one woman strong funk band who recorded a little known gem of an album on Fantasy in 1976 called "I Don't Know What's On Your Mind". The group consisted of Spider Webb (drums, percussion, vocals), Carol Kaye (lead guitar, vocals, bass on "Spider's Webb"), Harold Land, Jr. (keyboards), George "Jazzbo" Spencer (bass, vocals), Renaldo Jackson (congas), Sam Taylor (vocals, rhythm guitar), and Jeff Lane (lead vocals). Jeff Lane is of course best known for his work with Brass Construction and B.T. Express. None other than Randy Muller did the string arrangements on this album and it does have his signature pizazz, don't you agree?
