Only When Youre A Jonas [Chapter 10]

Everyone left home and Lexi was sitting in her room finishing the song she started on the plane. She heard a knock on the door and her brother Kevin [k3] walked in.

Lexi: hey booger.
K3 [haha]: hey. Writing a new song.
Lexi: trying to.
K3: I wanna hear.
Lexi played a small part of the song.
K3: its alright.
Lexi: funny.
K3: believe it or not, its good to have you home.
Lexi: awww you missed me!! [gave him a kiss on the cheek]
K3: yeah but don't push it. [wiping his cheek]
Lexi: whatever.
K3: so who is this boy Aaron?
Lexi: how do you know about him?
K3: dude uncle nick almost had a breakdown earlier today. It was pretty funny.
Lexi: I met him while I was on tour. I've been talking and getting to know him this past month or so. He's a cool guy. He's nice.
K3: does he treat you good?
Lexi: not you too!
K3: hey I'm your brother. Its my right.
Lexi: he's a total gentleman. And he asked to take me out to dinner tomorrow. But I'm kind of nervous.
K3: why?
Lexi: didn't you just tell me nick almost had an emotional breakdown?
K3: good point. I'm sure they'll get over. I mean you're the oldest AND the only girl. Mom was telling me how special you are to them.
Lexi: oh come on they love us all the same.
K3: no. you are special to them. I know they love us all but mom told me the whole story. The one you've never heard.
Lexi: what are you talking about.
K3: you know how aunt Lexi passed away from cancer.
Lexi: yeah.
K3: well after she did uncle Joe was a total wreck. Everyone was. Mom and dad were planning on getting married but had to postpone it, uncle nick and aunt tiff were fighting and broke up for like years. They were all in a bad place cuz mom said aunt Lexi was the one that always held them together. Uncle Joe couldn't even walk into our house! Everyone was worried about him
Lexi: I know they were sad but I didn't know it was that bad.
K3: well I guess when you came everything just got better. Mom said that in her dream her mom visited her and told her you were gonna be EXACTLY like aunt Lexi. that's why she named you after her.
Lexi: [crying] wow.
K3: that's why they are so overprotective Lex. They're scared to lose you just like they did her. Why do you think uncle Joe is so drawn to you. He's the only one that really understands you because he understood aunt Lexi. Just don't get mad at them ok. Its hard. They don't want to see you grow up.
Lexi: thanks. For telling me.
K3: I just don't want you to get mad at them for something dumb and then you guys stop talking. We all need each other ok.
Lexi: [nodded] ok.
K3: we were gonna all get together tomorrow too so you should tell Aaron to come and get to know everyone.
Lexi: I dunno.
K3: the sooner the better.
Lexi: since when did you get so wise?
K3: mom says I'm like uncle nick.
Lexi: [laughing] I see. Goodnight booger. I'm exhausted.
K3: goodnight Lex.

Lexi sat there and tried to take everything her brother had just told her. She had never known how bad things were after her aunt had passed away. She didn't even know the whole story. All she knew was that her aunt passed away from cancer at the young ripe age of 18. The age she is right now. All she ever heard her whole life was that she was like her aunt. She wanted to know the whole story. No more secrets. Every detail and there was only one person who would do just that.

Sorry I took so long to post! I was celebrating my friends bday Friday and Saturday but I'm planning on posting A LOT today to make up for it! Lol THANKS GUYS! YOURE AWESOME! And thank you so much for the compliments on my writing. You guys are so sweet! =]

it braks my heart thinkng about the chapter where she died and joe cried hysterically..and i cried hysterically..
