The Pauline Reader Dancers from Derby (here featuring all of the Dorset 2010 group: Allison, Helen, Anne, Emma, Becky, Alice and Laura) perform a routine around the tune of the famous Irving Berlin tune 'Puttin' On The Ritz' (arranged by Jan Kees de Ruijter), played here by the 98/110 Key Southsea Gavioli Fairground Organ (owned by Graham Atkinson) at the 2010 Great Dorset Steam Fair.
This performance took place on the last day, Sunday - with James acting as compere.
As I was part of the official crew of this organ for the week at Dorset, I had the privilege of both working the keyframe and playing music in-between shows, and of actually playing the music during the shows, once I'd been taught how it all worked - which at least gave David Burville the chance to have a break.
The dancers were also (as with the Passion Dancers) very friendly, a pleasure to work with, and professional - with all the engine smoke, dust, cold evenings and noise it must be extremely challenging performing several stage shows each day at the Dorset Steam Fair, but this group managed it brilliantly.
