Most of the steel and big glass tube boys know to have some space between them and the linear. That or a lead curtain or some sort of faraday cage.

@khoham alright! i got an intelligent comment back! this was somewhat of an exaggeration, however, i would not feel comfortable running this much power, about 1 kW is my limit. but everybody is entitled to do what they please. if you wanna run more power go for it, you only live once

@cobra395 HF passes thru your body. UHF such as cell phones are absorbed by your body. Hence many are now getting more cancers from cell phone (long term) use then this very short exposure to high power HF radiation.

@cobra395 radio waves degrade surprisingly more than you'd think..and there's a formula that may be used to explain this,although.. i don't have the time or patience to find the formula.. also.. radiowaves.. especially in the cb.. band are low energy em waves.. suprisingly.. microwaves have substantially less energy used in transmitters .. for the purpose.. they're much higher energy radiowaves. on the EM spectrum
