@ThomasMetal75 He doesn't consider himself a metal/hard rock drummer at all. He says he's more of a jazz drummer who moved to prog rock with PT.

You can create the loop in any recording software...Pro Tools, Cubase, Garage Band, whatever you have.

@ThomasMetal75 I'd say not only in metal/hard rock but in any other genres. Listen to his stuff with Claude Baglioni, Iggy Pop, Ed Poole. From jazz to pop, rock to funk, psychedelic, metal, etc. Yeah, he's the most versatile drummer.

@Nelis09PT ♦ this is NOT whats on the album version.(It's on youtube ~search) All live shows he doesnt play it either. He did this long version just for his drum DVD.
