  • Can They use horse bedding?

  • @Thesmallpetguy If by horse bedding you mean dried wood pellets, like Woody Pet, then yes, those are safe to use with rabbits. The drying process extracts the harmful oils and resins. Also, wood pellets used for burning in wood stoves is also safe to use with rabbits.

  • Yes, kiln dried is okay since the drying process removes the oils from the raw woods. And, it kills any bacteria, fungus, etc. that may be in the wood.

  • wow, these are GREAT instructional videos. do you think you could post one with more information on what YES to use as rabbit litter? also, does it make a difference if you use the litter in a pan UNDER the cage, or as its bedding?

  • Yes, that is information I should have included. Rats! Need another video for that, I guess! Good/safe litters are CareFresh, Yesterday's News, Feline Pine, Woody Pet, and wood stove pellets. The wood products listed here are deemed safe because they've been kiln dried at very high temperatures, so all the oils are gone and the bacteria is dead.
