A prominent scientist who's followed the science of global warming from the beginning, Dyson explains why climate models have no scientific merit, why average global ground temperature is a great fiction, and what he believes the real dangers of increased CO2 in the atmosphere are. He suggests that the relatively simple solution of land use management could potentially give us the ability to control the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere at any level we'd like, and there's no need to stop burning coal and oil.

CO2 traps heat? Where is this happening? The higher up in the atmosphere you go, the colder it gets. A greenhouse has a glass ceiling that traps the heat. There is no glass ceiling on the earth - heat is escaping every second of every hour.

Dyson is a real smart guy and his views have evolved over time. He agrees fossil fuel burning and land use changes cause global warming. He has some great insights on solutions to this. He supported Barack Obama for president in 2008.

It needs to be said that despite Dyson's doubts the IPCC predictions are right on track:

    arstechnica. com/science/2012/12/ipccs-climate-projections-on-target-so-far/

He subscribes to a variation of Lovelocks GAIA theory by believing the universe has a consciousness.

Weird... and he attacks models despite they are predicting so accurately... weirder!

At least he's not one of those deniers for he's a physicist and no physicist would deny that CO2 traps heat because that is established fact.
