They say that the MH500 was Fender's only metal amp, but I've come to prove them wrong. I'm plugged straight into a solid state Fender Stage 100 combo amplifer, and I'm playing on the red channel, getting metal tones that rival Mesa Dual Rec's, Peavey 6505's, and Marshall JCM DSL 2000's (Well okay, not really). They say Fender can't make amps of brutality, but they speak of lies! My guitar is a custom Fender Strat with a Semour Duncan Hot Rails pickup at the bridge. I am plugged directly into the amplifer. No pedals, no mods, just pure Fender tone.

The tone sounded alot better when recording the vid, but the shitty microphone takes away half of the tone. I'll eventually get a Shure SM57 and it will sound more clear. For those wondering, the mic is a Crate CM100H.

  • What effects are you using bro?

  • @jallsbrook100 I'm plugged directly into the amp.

  • Either the mic is clipping or that amp sounds like total shit.

  • @thehornypuppy The mic is clipping. The amp sounds a shitload better than how this video portrays it (well, for a shitty solid-state budget amp, it sounds decent). But this amp isn't even close in comparison to my Jet City. See my latest vids to hear what it sounds like.

  • i recently owned a fender stage 100 head. the distortion is about as good as your run of the mill crate. that equates to garbage. if you want quality tone, get a quality amp. you dont need to break the bank to get a good tube amp, check my channel for a sample of my bugera head.

  • @jw11432 This will no longer be my main amplifier. I just got my Jet City JCA100h head in the mail today, and I'm expecting the cab to be coming tomorrow or the next day. That will be an all tube head and I payed a total of $895 for the entire stack (Musician's Friend was having a sale). It's not designed for metal, but I have heard metal played through it. To my ears it sounds better than what most people recommend for metal guitarists. (6505, Mesa Rec, etc.)

  • LOL, Jurassic Park poster!

  • great cover.. but it still sounds like a cold fender solid-state amp.. ( i own one myself, no offense)

i mean, you can play metal with a fender amp but mesa boogie and marshall would make it sound better.

(plug your guitar into a dual rectifier and hear the difference)

  • hey dude !! how are you tuning the amp settings?

  • C'mon people he's playing thru a SS Fender not a full rack of gear. I've heard people demo Mesa Rectumfryer's on here and they make them sound like total shit. This guys getting killer metal tones outta this thing good enough to be recorded. This tone actually reminds me of my buddy's old Marshall Valvestate 100 head back in the day. Good playing and grindage bro!

  • With that guitar you look like the guitarist from BLIND MELON

  • This demo sucks..lol

  • @NiGHTRiDER9001 Jet City are shit..lol

  • please tell me how you do the sound at 0:24!

  • I think you got a pretty damn good sound considering it's a Fender solid state and you are plugged straight in.

Don't listen to anyone that says otherwise.

You are a good guitarist too bro.

  • you play well :)

  • is fender good for thrash metal
