Makes sense, since a FL is sealed when the door is closed and might never dry out. I've never seen laundry that stayed smelly after being washed in 145 degree water, but the washer itself would need a disinfectant (like "smelly washer"), since germs can hide in cooler areas of the washer while the clothes themselves get disinfected. So, I'm not questioning the usefulness of this product, just saying that 120 degree "hot" water is an insanely dumb idea, even for TL machines.

This is not spam. Many thousands of owners of front loading washers can attest that odor is a huge problem with their clothes washer. Do an internet search for "smelly washer" to read how big the problem is and how to remove mildew odor from your washer, towels and clothing.
