I have the worst luck with piercings

my body has rejected all of my piercings atleast once..
quite depressing because i love piercings..my ears are the only thing that
haven't tried to close up..and i would die without my gauges

@dallashusker25 its not normal per say, but happena ofter. go back to the piercer as soon as possible so they can put a longer labret in. otherwise your lip could heal over it

I just got my lower lip peirced for $27 and yesturday, the bar looked a bit bigger, but today my lip has swelled slightly, and its like digging in my inside lip, idk if its okay, or normal :/

i had a friend who had this problem once, he used a 14g at first while it was cleaning he took it out to clean and he coudlnt get it back in, so i suggested using a smaller g . think he used like a 16g and it went back in fine, i think its just cus the skin tightens back up real fast not healed back that quick, thats insane. just think bout it like stretching ur ears, under a specific size and depending on how u leave it out it can tighten up like

my lip ring does the same thing if i take it out i half too put it back in pretty fast or it will grow up even though i got it done professionally... it sucks..

It's been a while but besides what type of soap or after care, have u considered the type of metal for your jewelry?

I had a one year long infection on my ears a long time back and ever since my ears are extremely sensitive. So when I got my cartilage pierced I paid for pricey titanium jewelry which gave me no problems at all.

Maybe try gold plated, titanium or other grades of metal higher than regular stainless steel. I know of people who made the switch and had much better luck.
