A short documentary about the Demoscene, an artistic and staunchly non-commercial computer subculture. This film discusses scene history, demo groups, and of course parties. It was made for "Mindcandy Volume 1: PC Demos," a DVD that archives several classic PC productions.

Uploaded at the request of the director.

  • @zoolkhan Outline, evoke, Tum not to mention Revision for gods sake.

  • @warriorcomic thanks for the reassuring words.

  • @zoolkhan ...and then you gave it to accept party posse, birdhouse projects and metalvotze and so on, i guess :D

  • @FernandezMustDie1988 guess who did the security back then and took your hard liquer away :-)

  • @zoolkhan >.> Scene still active Razor1911 <--- 1985 - present they got Dubmood 8/16bit music magician, they still crack, and deliver demo's.

Obviously since more people started using the computer you comeby more idiots. but i assure you the scene is still active since the start. Fairlight(1987), Razor1911 over 25 years theres only diffrent technological diffrances, the demo's don't use the current game engine's anymore or so i believe i think they create their own...

  • P.S.: and I think Mat/Ozone used to sleep in his car (Ford, wasn't it ?) :D

  • 4:40 eating area? man those kids back in 2002 were quite pampered already.. at mekka symposium back in the 90's we used to eat at the desk and slept right under it, taking turns :D (alright, alright, there was a sleeping tent and even showers, but that was for the sissies :D)

  • from the year 2002... nice look back into my past.

too bad this era is ending...

assembly is just a gamers convention at best, mekkasymposium is dead , breakpoint is dead, and the next generation barely knows how to to install windows. let alone how to programm machine language...

    R.I.P scene.
