@alynar03 it doesn't take all that long anymore to develope the actual planes. thanks to computer cad programming and modern tooling.
it's all the other stuff like the stealth coatings etc and maybe the designs of the whole plane. but when they want to they can put design and build stuff in a few years.
that's how they did with the f35 and the X32 by boeing in the race to win the government contract for a joint strike fighter.

@31stFFJumper America is the standard on aircraft so pull your head out of your ass you dumb fuck. No one and I mean no one will ever match our in air capabilities. We may be broke but our f-14 tomcat's will still kick your sorry sad of an excuse for an air force out of the sky all day and then some.
