  • @purplevolcano That 'grumpy old face' wrote some of the most exquisite, sensitive music (like this that we are all enjoying) in musical history. He composed with his heart very obviously. Can't judge a book by its cover.

  • I like the juxtaposition of the most beautiful piece of music in history (no exaggeration) with this picture.

  • Sublime

  • Back when England was England. You can see it in the man's face. Unmistakably British. I want to live in those distant days when life was simpler and more honest.

  • A beautiful piece. Tears of joy

  • Its hard to believe that this was written by a human and not an Angel .

  • @windstorm1000 To be fair in higher Brain Wave Frequencies that many musicians function in during mental composition tend to the mind withdraw awareness from the body; in turn total relaxation, removal from the social necessity to main an appearance e.g. smiling. His eyes look like they are experiencing a world far beyond our own.... Food for thought!

  • so good!

  • The first classical piece I ever owned.Brings me to tears every time I listen to it. Amazingly beautiful!!!

  • @windstorm1000 - I don't mind him having a grumpy old face, I thought it was funny, that's all.

  • The sound of yearning, I agree.
