  • What is your opinion on the Tektronix 2246?

    Thanks.

  • @jewishcrimenetwork An excellent basic readout analog scope.

  • @EEVblog Hi. thanks for the answer. The question is would you buy a new rigol DS1052E or a 2nd hnad Tektronix 2246? Thanks.

  • @jewishcrimenetwork They are different beasts. The Rigol is a more versatile instrument for general use, as it offers (poor compared to the 2246) analog performance, and single shot digital sampling the 2246 doesn't have.

  • I found that DAVE is so biased on certain brands. When it comes to Multimeter he rejects cheap china multimeters. but when it comes to oscilloscope HE FINDS RIGOL IS BETTER THAN TEKTRONIX.

    Dats bullshit..

@ 7.02 Cheap TEKTRONIX..........DAMN TEKTRONIX AINT NOOO CHEAP THEY ARE STANDARD OSCILLOSCOPES OF LOTS OF GOVERNMENT FACILITIES.

  • @gotaimabara You are taking my comment out of context. I was talking about the small sample memory in the lowest cost "cheap" Tektronix scopes. I did not mean "cheap" as in quality.

Yes, the Rigol is better value for money than the equivalent Tektronix scope for most beginners.

  • @gotaimabara Have you even seen my video that totally slag off these companies (and others) ?? You are massively wrong.

  • @JRoque250 Yes, I am completely unbiased, and am famous for it in fact. I shot this video WAY before I got supplier ads on my website.

  • Great accent...Good information especially explaining sampling rate and memory depth. The guy is always pushing certain brands. I had a RIGOL and it was a mess & I returned it. Supposedly it was missing the latest firmware update but I don't need the grief. Plus it was more expensive than other Chinese brands. I have an ATTEN and HANTEK & have found both to be terrific and they were less cost than the RIGOL I returned.

  • @JRogue250 if he was biased he wouldn't point out the flaws in these things. you really need to watch more of his videos to realize that a. he knows what he's talking about and b. if something is crap he will say it's crap and I really doubt that a paid biased advertiser would point out the fact you can buy the cheaper one and hack it to get the more expensive one for no extra cost.

  • @EEVblog Thanks. I will buy the rigol.

  • @thewii552 lol

  • @carnews333 Yes, you need an oscilloscope if you are into electronics. No, you don't need to spend $10,000. A $350 Rigol will do you just fine. $50 ebay 20MHz dual channel analog will also do you just fine.
