When i hear this older version i imagine a porn set in the 80s .. set in a tropical beer garden by the sea shore under palm trees and midori cocktails served by pretty waitresses. I imagine the balmy tropical breeze rustle through the palm trees as people cheer on the porn stars having sex on stage while Benny Mardones walks out with a white tuxedo and sings this song for all the lonely hearts who have been dumped by their partners helping them realize that "love" is not as "easy" as it seems.

@metalzep786 You're right. This is the re-recorded version from 1989, after the song charted for the second time after almost a decade. The original was recorded in-studio, and did not have the "echo-y dance hall" style (which gained alot of popularity in the mid-late 80s) that this version has.

This was released in 1980 on vinyl that I remember.

This is the version that made this song famous! The later version is close but you can hear differences if you listen. I think he did the later version for contract problems ($) because there's no other reason.
