Tiki Apartments, Redondo Beach: Manager Harasses and Abuses Tenant

Tiki Apartments in Redondo Beach (Riviera Village), Shows newer on-site Manager acting like a child during a business transaction. With a Vacancy Rate of approx. 10% - 20%, owner Mr. Caras could lose upwards towards $180,000.00 per year. The Tiki Apartments, says a long time tenant, was going down hill fast, after Cargin Property Management hired new on-site management. Silverfish infestation grows (there is no fumigation that was noticed), the pool heater was shut down early, he takes FOUR parking spaces while a new tenant must use street parking, while paying full price. This on-site Manager says that the apartment rules don't apply to him, so when he was found out, making and breaking rules and not keeping the place up (about 4 months to fix a washer). In the past he has called the police to harass tenants and stops cleaning around the front of apartments, doesn't trim trees, all around the building blocking walkways to tenants apartments. He says, "If you don't like it MOVE". And that's just what many residents are doing; moving out of the Tiki Rent went up, and conditions went down. After several years of tenancy my client says it went from nice, quiet and well kept, to having a Massage Parlor in one apartment, a shooting, Lot's of pot parties (check the eyes) and favorable treatment to certain residents. Why was the Massage Parlor doing business until A resident reported it to the Police (who staked out the place); Renting to Friends who throw parties until 3:00AM or 4:00AM, start fights with other residents. It went from very nice - to a slum like hood very fast, or so my client says. I just feel sorry for the poor elderly owner who doesn't have the energy to solve the case of the Tiki Tyrant. Married with kids he likes to rent to young women, and befriended and defended the Naked Massage Lady living in these apartments (Does his wife know?). She would meet her clients in only a robe and sneak men in and out all day. In this video a tenant was giving back keys to the Manager, forced out by high rent, intimidation, harassment and pest problems. Another resident calls the Silver Fish infestation "The Tiki Mascot". He even attempts to charge Extra Rent for one tenant moving out. There are laws about this stuff. If you are renting in Redondo Beach, but miss the hood, barrio, slum, then rent here... The owner has always been great, but now getting older and lets this manager get away with total lack of respect for renters.

Yea, I think you nailed that one. When an obese, ignorant, tattooed fool from the hood walks around like he's Jean-Claude Van Damme you know there are some issues there. He likes to push around tenants using his "Management" status as a power of authority like he is a macho man. And, he has a problem keeping this medium size beach building filled because of it. I wonder if his wife knew about the Massage Therapist, that he defended, operating out of his building?

i lived here for two years and he was nothing but good and kind to me and my roommates, i think you are the fool for trying to make him look silly, when you come to him at 11pm at night thinking you are a bad ass, guess what your not, and all of these other people that agree with you are clearly your friends and probably don't live there. You know you're wrong. You could have brought your keys and crap to him at a decent time. I lived in Tiki Apartments for almost 2 years and can't complain about the manager. He is a lovely guy always ready to help.

My son lives in Redondo Beach and pays $2100 a month for rental of 680 sq. feet, but it's not at this place. Right on the Pacific Ocean.

Does this Fat Boy actually run the Tiki Apartments. Talk about Gay, OMG. My friends used to live there a couple years ago, and had to move out beacause of this Molta Madness Manager Ahora ¿Is he queer? I heard he is into Ugly Chicks and Fat Boys.
