I see what you mean. But still...old school "stick and rudder" fighteres like the "Hun", F-104, Draken etc..they were more the pilots plane,. There were no computer to fly the plane! I still think that those plane had more carisma if you can say that about a plane. I do agree however ..Denmark did a good buying back in the 70s with the F-16. Glad we didn´t buy the Mirage F-1 which was one of the other competitors together with the Viggen (which I actually like very much).

Well AmdiT,- today we have combined the goodies from all those fine jets, speed, beauty, roughnes, presission, ranges, and multpliet it, by at least two, maby tree, and for a relative lower cost. Ewery jet still have there personalety, dispite there are a computer onboard. Denmark now have the best all round fighter (F-16AM - M4/5) you can emagine. Wee did a wery good by back in the seveties (;-))

"Oh" for the days when we here in Denmark had F-100, Drakens, F-104 and Hunters at the same time. Old fighters had personality and charm unlike nowadays flying computers.

The F-100's was retired in 1982, on the 11' of august with the disbanding of Esk. 730-100.
The last RDAF F-100 flight was the next day, as 6 F-100F's was flown from SKP to KAR.
