  • Kieth Whitley was great, I wish my Uncle, Bobby George, could have lived long enough to hear him sing this song. My Uncle wrote this song many years ago,

  • My husband thinks his was the greatest country music artist that had ever lived. And his memory will forever live in his heart forever. Live on Keith we love you and you music.

  • My Uncle, Bobby George, was a great writer, as well as singer and played guitar; he also wrote , I never picked cotton. and many others. He passed away Aug 9th, 1973. he was with Bobby Austin and Wynn Stewart and his band when he had a stroke. you can hear him on youtube, Bobby George 1937-1973. Thanks for the nice comments, Vern Stovall was the first to record this song, and co-wrote it. .Sue
