Church Offers Class On Financial Planning

On Sundays, churches are always asking you to give money. But now some of those churches are teaching you how to save it.

KMBC's Martin Augustine reported that a class meets on Sunday nights that teaches people how to get out of debt and save money. But if you think financial planning should not mix with where Bible lessons are taught, those taking the class might tell you to check your scriptures.

Angie and Darren Kirkland said they were weary of the feeling that the walls of debt were crushing them. They turned to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and its financial planning class.
