The world's largest paintball event of the year in Huntington Beach. Over 125 teams including some of the top pro squads in the country competed for over $50,000 in cash and prizes. The Surf City Open took place on the south side of the pier, with a wide range of activities and various types of paintball entertainment.

@jamzNBA03 It's also a bit slow paced. If you look at sports like Hockey and Basketball, the players are always moving, whearas with paintball, most of the people are sitting down shooting eachother for long periods of time with the odd person getting aggressive and sprinting. Not saying paintball is a lazy sport... I hardly go paintballing, but when I do, my legs, arms, and back are sore for a few days after.

@jamzNBA03 Yea.... I wish paintball was more popular up here in Canada. I would love to see an event like this near me! The main problem with paintball compared to basketball and hockey and all those other sports is that it is hard to referee the games. Most of the game itself is run by honour.

This should be a north american sport like basketball so we can see cities face off on tv instead of this. n we'd get to see paintball mroe :)
