a view from inside the cab of my defender, driving down the chapel gate track in derbyshire. if you look closely you can see the small remaining pieces of tarmac. the camera doesnt do the hill any justice, but you can still use the horizon as a tilt meter! my friend said he trusted my driving, but he was still a nervous passenger!

  • We drove this one with several inches of snow on the ground - and yes it was quite hairy!

    I got my front axle stuck on the ruts (2:22) and ended up having to be nudged off by my mates defender 90!

    We came back again later in the summer, and it didn't half as bad 2nd time around. Next challenge it to drive up it, although I think with the NERC thing this lane may now be closed :-(

  • We did this lane in our Disco in the Dark when it was raining like mad.. All I can say is NEVER again. It scared the crap out of me...
