ABC TV Australia's The Afternoon Show featuring Michael Tunn Nov 1991

Portion of the famous kids wrapper programme "The Afternoon Show" from November 1991 hosted by Micheal Tunn.

This portion was introducing the return repeat season of Doctor Who on ABC TV since it's last repeat run in mid 1990. Doctor Who was to be played at 5:00pm Mon-Fri each week starting with "The Nightmare of Eden" and finishing with "Logopolis". This was the last time ABC TV showed Doctor Who at it's regular early evening timeslot until the return of a full run in late 2003.

That's a blast from the past. I was a 16 year-old TAFE student at that time but I was usually home to watch Degrassi, The Mysterious Cities Of Gold, The Trap Door and Danger Mouse. When they stopped airing Degrassi I wrote a letter to The Afternoon Show asking if there was going to be any more. Michael Tunn sent a two page letter written in texta and an autographed photo of himself (which I still have in a drawer somewhere).
