  • Re "Who the... is this guy?

...er he sounds like a goodish tenor singing in a provincial oratorio. to me.

Do you expect Paul Elliott to appear every single time the Messiah is performed?

    Bizarre comment.

  • Learning the solo now so am really impressed with the soloist. Hope I will come over the problem of breath control soon. Excellent presentation. I love it

  • Didn't like his interperatation of 1:22 much, but the performance as a whole was great.

  • I could not help but notice the ensemble backing up the soloist. I must say, it strikes me as a "right-sized" ensemble for the era -- not too many instruments, but a critical mass for a sufficiently powerful sound. That is strikingly authentic for a Baroque piece. The harpsichord sounded decent, too. Very impressive, overall!

  • this is not what i clicked on

  • Great power, pleasent tone, an enjoyable performance.

  • @billyguns2 AMEN to that!

  • @creamywhippingcream it is set at 80

  • Very nice. It's tough to come right out of the blocks with a major aria like this. I'm learning the whole tenor solo right now, but focusing on this piece to start with. Great control over your voice. You have a nice instrument, very good with Handel, I'm curious how you would do with similar lyric tenor solos in other works. Very good job, bravo!

  • bravo...great tempo

  • Very impressive! Fantastic control over your voice which is something that I am struggling with now.
