Captain Mitch Schacter, Director of the Maritime Program at San Jacinto College, will break down the intricate web of maritime jobs that makes Houston one of the most prosperous cities in the world. Not everyone realizes that maritime-related industries employ more people than any other in Houston, and they continue to grow. In response, area schools have developed specialized maritime programs to prepare the future workforce for the wide range of maritime career paths open to young people today.
