Chimney Rock North Carolina is now one of our quick get-away vacation spots due to the Esmeralda Inn and Parise's New American Bistro Restaurant. http://TheEsmeralda.com & http://PariseCatering.com Located only about 30 - 40 minutes from Asheville, it is the perfect place to relax and escape into the WNC mountains, just minutes from Lake Lure NC. Celebrity Chef Michael Parise just opened his first signature restaurant in the Chimney Rock area, with many more plans on the horizon. We toured the Esmeralda Inn and it is superb. Rooms are beautiful and cozy, decor is amazing, the upstairs lounge is the perfect place to relax, play pool, play cards, watch some cable, and have a few drinks. The restaurant, which just opened after being closed for years due to a fire, is gorgeous and very inviting. A nice outdoor deck to dine and lounge is also available. The Esmeralda Inn also has wireless Internet, and they invite people to stop by, relax on their porches, in the lounge, get some coffee, maybe order some food, and connect online. Chimney Rock has an Internet Cafe of sorts now! We are excited about this place and we will definitely be back soon.

@AskAsheville... we came at the beginning of April. It was a wonderful trip and the restaurant had amazing food....we really liked the biscuit crusted trout the best. The service was excellent also and we will definately be coming back!!
