$cientology is a particularly nasty cult that uses all manner of ruthless and underhanded methods to slander, ostracize ("disconnection") and bankrupt (usually through excessive litigation) those who dare to leave the cult or speak out against it.
$cientology was founded by a deranged paranoid bastard who was also a sci-fi obsessed lunatic: L Ron Hubbard.
Most of the Cult's teachings are total fantasies, a blend of pseudo-science, sci-fi and Hubbard's very active yet crazy imagination.
