  • Can i please beg you to please read the teachings of the early fathers, this might take a long time but do it before you make another video, there is alot of information that you need to learn before you make another video, read, read, and read follow the trail to the path of the true church up to today and tell me where you get

  • What does the orthodox church teach that is wrong????

  • @October31st1517 Scripture is only said to be sufficent to the "man of GOD" which would imply that one has the spirit of truth with them...which in turn will "teach you all things"...scripture without the spirit(aka sola scriptura) will kill you and is no good for anyone "the letter kills"...Satan had scripture did it alone save him?...nope!

  • @October31st1517 Nope.

"...the Church alone has, through the grace of God, received the means necessary to realize such end [world peace and holiness]" (Leo XIII, On Christians as Citizens, 25).

No one can, however, without risk to faith, foster any doubt as to the Church alone having been invested with such power of governing souls as to exclude altogether the civil authority (Leo XIII, On Christians as Citizens, 27).

  • @redeemerslove Where do we find the truths revealed by God? We find the truths revealed by God in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition.

It seems your at odds with the RCC. You just claimed Sola Ecclesia.

  • @October31st1517 “the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth” (1 Tim 3:15).

  • @redeemerslove Sure, what is your final authority on all faith & morals?

  • @October31st1517 All over. Pick a topic and get an answer.

It is the protestant idea, however, that one can interpret the scriptures apart from tradition and apart from what the church teaches and to put them in opposition to church teaching. All of these church fathers recognized that the church has authority in and of itself and also taught the divine authority of tradition. And yes, they taught that scriptures are "the measure of every tenant", but they must be understood in light of tradition and church teaching
