Tracing VS Drawing! Shadow the Hedgehog referenced!

Drawing Shadow without tracing, recoloring/editing, or using a grid.
This is how I started drawing actually. It DID start out as tracing at age 7, until I started looking at instruction manuals in the games I got from Sonic games and stuff. The images were so small I couldn't trace them, so I started referencing. It was fun, so I kept doing it. Eventually, I got to where I am today!

Its really helpful, eventually you go from tracing to actually drawing with your own individual style. If you weren't born in an artist type family, then this should help you. Just don't post your tracings if its from other people's art though, you will get the consequences!
