@demikami The two batteries are not for same time use.... that's impossible. What you do is charge one at a time, both until fully charged. The extra is used for whenever your battery dies, you put it in, without having to run the pc plugged in, or waiting for it to charge; back-up battery basically.

on hp's website they offer you a second battery pack, does this mean that the pack is separate and must be replaced when the first one dies or are they both in the computer at the same time and as one dies the other takes over? I hope that question made sense
