This is a 1961 federal signal PA-5 siren. It was used by police and fire departments back in the early 60's. enjoy the vid!

  • @CTFD13 Yes they are, at most if not all stations. I know station 1 (main) & station 4 (south side) do for sure, as 4 makes a lot of runs up my street.

  • @Donkey9900 they still staffing the squad? im from north canton. never seen the squad at all.

  • In my town (Massillon Ohio) according to the little scrapbook the FD put together, they 1st used these on the rescue squad here sometime in 1962 when they purchased a new Chevy Metro van for the squad (called the "disaster unit" since it's inception in the late 40's, & some of the police still to this day refer to the squad as the "DU.")
