Beautiful video! In the beginning it looked as if the sailor was preparing to run a piggy-back. A bit too rough for that I guess, even for Smit Lloyd. That's when people gets killed.
I worked for years on US owned AHTS and tugs.
We used to envy the guys in Smit Lloyd. Their vessels and equipment are really state-of-the-art stuff. And run by A1 seamen.

I was an AB on the SL120 as well as the SL121, but remember it's not just a job.
It's a way of life,with the best adrenalin rushes ever!

potverdorie graag wil ik weer eens mee met smit lloyd ben nu 32 en denk veel aan die tijd en kijk vaak ff naar deze clip sta ingeschreven bij een uitzendburo maar helaas heb verder geen papieren en toch hoop ik ooit een x mee te mogen al was het op de noordzee vanaf ymuiden groetjessss

This boats are used for towing oil rigs and for running the anchors of the rig.
The ships bring also all kind of drilling materials and food to the rig.
