The Venezuelen scientist, futurist, economist, engineer and columnist, José Luiz Cordeiro, from the Singularity University, known as the University of the Future on the NASA campus (USA) is also a marathon runner. In 18 minutes, he crossed that finish line after a true run of slides -- complete with technological obstacles! -- in which he covered themes from production of live and free energy (being from artificial bacteria or satellites orbiting the Earth) to the colonization of Mars, passing to the cure of ageing and artificial brains. Ah! And with the right to philosophical pearls of wisdom of the most famous Argentine cartoon, Mafalda. Fantastic realism? Who lives will see! And this "who" he says, will be everyone in the year 2045.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Jacque Fresco has all the answers that are necessary if we want to achieve a civilization worthy of man. If not we all will be subject to depopulation propaganda until we lower our value system to the point of acceptance to solutions such as direct depopulation of the less worthy. Paradise or Oblivion my friend :)

People need to drop this nonsense that we can "cure aging" in this century, because we have no way of knowing that. You can't test the effectiveness of these experiments any faster than the rate at which humans happen to live, and that means that we, ourselves, won't live long enough to know the outcomes, but that people who survive well past 120 years, and in good physical and cognitive shape, will discover that the treatments worked on THEM.

Sorry, Jacque Fresco doesn't even understand the right questions, much less have any useful answers. He assumes the blank slate model of human nature of radical behaviorism, popular in the early 20th Century, which modern cognitive science has pretty much destroyed.

Very interesting. Is a must for all generations. Those who will see and those who will not see the future Jose Luis Cordeiro is talking about.
