The Husky Monument started in 1987 with a memorial for Jim Ericson when his family and friends cemented his 390 Husqvarna motorcycle into the desert sands. This is a popular destination for an off-road day ride from Randsburg or Barstow. www.admo-tours.com Filmed in 2006
when i went there like 5 years ago it made me sick that someone shot up the husky and the metal flag. who does that?

Husqvarna dominated the desert races from 1967 to 1983. I had a chance to buy one of Dan Smith 1983 husky 500 XC but decided I didn't want to kill myself.

Very meaningful video. Makes me want to ride my own '82 Husky in the desert.
