The Husky Monument started in 1987 with a memorial for Jim Ericson when his family and friends cemented his 390 Husqvarna motorcycle into the desert sands. This is a popular destination for an off-road day ride from Randsburg or Barstow. www.admo-tours.com Filmed in 2006

  • when i went there like 5 years ago it made me sick that someone shot up the husky and the metal flag. who does that?

  • I hope the "tweeker" metal thieves NEVER find out about this memorial.

  • my grandpa was good friends with jerricson. R.I.P.

  • Im taking my 87 Husky 500cc to the dunes tomorrow!

  • Great video! Long live the huskies

  • Husqvarna dominated the desert races from 1967 to 1983. I had a chance to buy one of Dan Smith 1983 husky 500 XC but decided I didn't want to kill myself.

  • Very meaningful video. Makes me want to ride my own '82 Husky in the desert.

  • nice, i own a 1987 250cc husqvarna, and just putting a decent carburator made it soo much faster, if thats even possible, very fun bikes
