One of the best self reflection master pieces by Jallal Eddine Rumi played by the Genesis World Music Ensemble conducted by Kader Rhanime featuring as lead soloist one of the World's leading Qawali vocalists "Ustad Humayun Khan" who sings this song in its native "Farsi". The musical melody is as old as the poem and dates back hundreds of years. In this performance Conductor Kader Rhanime who orchestrated and arranged the song conducts an orchestra with some of the World's best soloists and virtuosos from 11 countries: Alberto Mizrahi on Harmony Vocals (US-Greece), Haj Youness on Oud, Rachid Zerwal on Ney (Morocco), and Grammy winners: from Cuba: Horacio El Negor Henrandez on Drums and Victor Miranda on Bass, from Iran Shahin Shahida on Classical Guitar, and Howard Levy on Piano (USA). The strings section is from the Casablanca Music Orchestra and members of the Brass from the Morocco Philharmonic. Enjoy
What a wonderful mixture of such great and talented people. Truly an amazing piece of art.
Thank you, a thousand times over.
-Much love from Afghanistan.

@Kourosh587 Really, Dari is the proper name for the language as its spoken in Afghanistan and it might be the same language but Tajiki is still slightly different from Dari or Farsi etc

Humayun Khan is very talented and his ability to perform with other talented international musicians is wonderful to see. His ability to improvise allows him to mesh with many types of music and different instruments.

@Kourosh587 right, I'm simply saying that Hamayoun Khan is singing this poem in the dari dialect, not Farsiye Irani.

@Sohroba Farsi, Parsi, Dari Tajiki and Persian are different names of the same language, as a native speaker of the language from Kabul, I dont mind any of the names but the more local accepted name of the language among its speakers is Farsi whether they live in Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iran or Uzbekistan, and in English speaking world its known as Persian language. I am proud of Tajik/Persian Maulana Jalalduin Balkhi from Khurasan, greater Iran.
