A police spokesman did not confirm the arrest directly. The Sun newspaper says police didn't question the actor yesterday because they did not want to interfere with the premiere of the movie.

For one, let's be sure, assault is VERBAL, not physical, so that makes a HUGE difference. For two, at the time he had been estranged from his mother for around a year. Apparently she made some very rude remarks concerning his wife and himself. He got angry, came to his wife's defense and things got loud. It's pretty clear to me that his mother and sister wanted money- why else would they charge him with assault, something that bears no physical marks and can be faked easily?
