Though we're lucky enough to even get an ending to this fantastic series. Especially considering how long we've waited for it.....

@atomofish They should restart the series using CG for some of it like everyone does. It would save them from going overbudget! ;-) There are so many shows ripped off from Giant Robo ( itself, a "Reboot" and tribute to classic anime ) they might as well GIVE US A NEW SERIES! Btw - "BIg Fire" is so "average anime". He doesn't look half as cool as many of the characters in the series ;-)

They do man. Most of those robots are from Tesujin 28, sometimes known as Gigantor, anyway. In fact, this entire OVA is kind of a sideways remake / homage to that groundbreaking animation. Look it up. The director of this OVA actual directed many episodes of a yet a newer remake of Tesujin 28 and it features a lot of those old school robots in it. A lot of it is actually on youtube. Look it up, you won't be sorry.

just shows how good giant robo is.
one of the most overwhelmingly badass HOLY **** villains of the show is actually only on screen for about 5 seconds or so and we are all still searching for him on youtube and pledging allegiance to him

@atomofish babel brainwashed

Damn it, I still want to see "The Siege of Babel" happen.
Giant Robo has so many interesting story possibilities and I would have loved to see just exactly who or WHAT Big Fire really is.

@carturello Yeah, pretty much. When this anime was made, the Giant Robo manga was out of print, so Yasuhiro Imagawa took characters from other Mitsuteru Yokoyama works, from Sally the Witch to Romance of the Three Kingdoms to even Babel II. So yes, Big Fire is Babil Junior.
