I grew up on Oak Ave. 1 block east of the RFTC.. I was 6 years old 1958.
I am sure friends parents were there. I went one time to the USLTA Clay Court Tennis Tournament . I was about 9 or 10.

Wow, a different time... when the players wore crisp, perfectly fitted tennis whites, kept themselves perfectly clean shaven and groomed, and looked as if they never broke a sweat. And you don't see one tank top, Budweiser beer tee shirt, or morbidly obese person in the audience, either. Progress is a wonderful thing, but the sacrifices we make for it...
