bought one about a week ago for my 26 gallon tank it took three days breaking in time and it started skimming just fine
-
does it make a lot of microbubbles
-
no microbubbles in the begining
-
once a day change is to much it should skim for awhile till the water looks dirty brown or black not yellow. you got to much bubbles going
-
@1992pattrow the Biocube 29 HQi does come with it.
-
@keegano2007 RIGHT ON ! I have ALWAYS said that ! $ 200+ for a plastic tube ?!

For those asking about the protein skimmer levels on this skimmer, I posted a couple of videos to help you understand where the level of your bubbles should be. This is a great skimmer for the price, the only drawback is that you have to replace the wooden airstone monthly. Just check the videos out under my username.

if you still cycling you fish tank and it about 3and haft week with no fish when do you start it??
-
Were do your bubbles sit in the chamber like on the edge or on the black part
Alright all you fish guys out there, New advice, make your own for the same amount of money that will pull out way more protein then this small overpriced skimmer.

a big one yes but on like this no, if i had a bigger set up I would totally make my own skimmer out of pvc pipes. DIY more power to ya! Big skimmers coast too much for the "simpelness" of the technology in my opinion.

got it that one yesterday, for a nano jbj 12 gallon i just have a question should i let the bubble level above the chamber reaction or where ? could you help me pls kinda confused with that cause i don't see it taking out so much protein yet ? perhaps let it time to start working ? i appreciate any post on replay thanks

just so the water level is not over the bottom of the collection cup will be fine. It takes a few days to start to get protein, the small air bubbles bonds to the protein molecules and they build up on each-other till there are enough to make it into the cup.
