To duplicate a found set of records, you must duplicate each record individually. This is a tricky task because it is difficult to know where the duplicate record goes in the found set. Prior to FileMaker 10, the record would become the last record in the found set. With the introduction of FileMaker 10 and live sorting, placement of a duplicate record is less predictable.
Duplicating the record, making necessary changes and then omitting the record eliminates the need to know the record number of the duplicated record in the found set.
