"Ha ha ha" ME TOO! i had just come back from the pub late one night, seemed like a good idea at the time.

To be fair, using a table knife and wood putty is just asking for the job to be ruined. I managed to score a midrange Yamaha for virtually nothing due to their discontinuing the model, spent about $100 on the correct tools from Stew-Mac, and came out with a KILLER fretless that lasted me for 4 years until I moved up to a high-quality fretless. And I was able to sell the Yamaha to cover the cost, the tools, and make a bit of profit as well. But yes, if you have any worries take it to a pro.

Well, it sounds pretty good actually, one day i will have it sorted out properly and then sell it on, as i have lost interest in six string Bass.

Oh! Ok, lol, I thought you meant this as "Any TRB6 will sound like crap if defretted". Thx for the answer :-)

Well, i did it myself with a table knife, and filled in the fret slots with wood putty! ruining a perfectly good and very expensive Bass, it still plays OK but i never use it and cant sell it like that. please! anybody who is thinking of doing this to a decent Bass, GET IT DONE BY AN EXPERT.....!!!!!

Great solo without getting overly technical or loosing the groove, as well as a killer-sounding bass. What do you find the piezo adds to the typical "fretless sound"?

Thanks! The piezo is very useful on the fretless bass ,you can have sounds very similar to the double bass. In this solo I used to pick bridge piezo pickup, bye!
