"The power of straight up viral growth dwarfs any other kind of promotion," Tim Westergren, the founder of Pandora, told me over the phone.

His personalized music streaming website has achieved an audience of almost 10 million registered listeners, with 20,000 new users registering each day.

Pandora's mission is to "to play music you'll love - and nothing else."

Check out http://www.pandora.com

Feel like listening to Tim's band? It's called 'Yellowwood Junction,' just search for it.

*Copyright issues, unfortunately, have caused the blocking of Pandora's free service in other countries. Pandora currently only plays for U.S. audiences.

  • @nicopicous yeah i agree. and @maddogza this isn't anyway attacking you. just trying to help you for the future. other than that, awesome video man.

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • This is all very interesting especially about what is happening to copy writing and new music. You just have to keep your eyes and ears on Government no matter how maddening it is.

I liked the Ben Franklin quote that one leak can sink a large ship. So keep it up it will pay off to do your best to inform the government and fellows of our determination to keep our rights as outlined in our Constitution's 1st. amendment . . . radio waves are our printing press in the twenty-first century

  • great company look out for our music on pandora soon

  • Great to hear Pandora speak :)

Just some constructive criticism to the interviewer...At least pretend that you're paying attention next time.

  • pandora is one of the great inventions of mankind

a testament of our capacity for evolvement

  • So how does this work? I love pandora as well but I'm not sure about how it works.

Do I pick my favorite song and let pandora do the rest, or do I keep picking song after song?

  • I love pandora!!!
