@6ZYX6 I know, its a kick ass car and I think it was somewhat let down by BMW, because you know that they knew it could be faster, and they wouldn't let it be. That being said, if I had had the chance, I would've bought one of these over an M3 had I been given the chance.

@jharrypot2004 It does anyway... it's faster per lap on many courses! It's lighter, cheaper and somewhat less... poise... yeah, it kicks ass

It's actually not. That is a medium number when talking about DD SUV's and sedans.

@tomasortega1 I agree. I didn't much like the V10 in the last M5 but it had a very nice soundtrack, and the turbos on the new one completely muffle the sound.

I'm not saying it needs more horsepower, but I think they didn't give it more so it wouldn't cut into the M3's territory.

@bmwmsport11 no it was a 2011 model only, and all 1,200 are sold out.

ONLY 335 horsepower?? LOL, that's plenty. A lot of cars have too much, you don't need 500+ hp, it's just overkill. Like cameras with 20 Megapixels.

@jereisluke We're not saying 335 horsepower is a bad thing. We're saying that ALL other M cars get 100 horsepower bump from the cars they are based on. The 1M "only" gets 35, even though the truth is it's more like 55.
