Final Fantasy XII - Optional Esper Battle #7: Zodiark, Keeper of Percepts [1/2]

(This video was made AFTER a majority of hunts -which I haven't put up yet- since I was looking for the Genji equipment specifically for this battle as well as raising my party's levels a bit)

[Please note that this Esper, along with seven others have no relevance to the main story and can be obtained at anytime after a certain point in the game]

Found in the Henne Mines' Special Charter Dig after the party collects at least 10 Espers as well as defeat the Mark, Mindflayer and then talk to Geomancer Yugelu in Jahara to open the secret path in the Henne Mines, Zodiark is the strongest of all the Espers in the game. I prepared ahead of time by equipping everyone with Bubble Belts and Black Masks so Darkja wasn't too much trouble, though Instant Death and having Blind something else. This part of the battle was simple enough (minus Darkja) but Part 2 was another story...

he'll hit anyone whose lvl are prime numbers,so bringing balthier at lvl 74 was not a genious idea but how would u know:P equiping black masks or other things that absorb dark is a good idea,also the genji equipment u have to fight gilgamesh,twice,everytime he has lost 20% of the lifebar he's available for stealing new items.i hate zodiark,he's an ass,and frankly this game sucks balls,theres no break damage/hp limit here except for all the other monsters ofc,the get to pound away..

74 isn't a prime number, although that doesn't stop the Level 2 and 3 attacks but I didn't care about levels since the Level attacks weren't the real threat unlike with the case of Zelera.

my levels are around 60-61(all characters) do you think this battle is too much at this point also the enemies along the way which I know are around 65 or so.

Well, it depends on what weapons, armor, and acessories you have and augment licenses you've unloced that will determine if Zodiark is too much of a battle since he himself is at level 66 and even then, the battle may be difficult.

Judging by level alone, you should be able to survive the path to him but if you're still worry that you won't be able to defeat him, use the opportunity to level up everyone to around 65 in the path.
