@TheSuperJarebear Evolution is not a chance process. Mutations are random, yes, but it is natural selection that determines the survival value of a mutation. To break it down further: if a mutation confers a benefit to an organism it will survive and reproduce that mutation. If it is detrimental to said organisms survival, it will not survive to reproduce the mutation.
Invoking an uncaused cause is not only illogical, it explains nothing. Besides, an uncaused cause doesn't have to be a god.
@xxboelstler5xx You are correct in your assertion that thing do not come from nothing. This is something science has been working on for a long time. We don't have the answer yet, but that doesn't mean we'll stop looking. Simply saying that we don't know and that it must be god is a detriment to human development.
As for cosmic gases, they are produced in the nuclear furnaces of stars. When a star dies it throws off most of its mass into the cosmos.
@thrdai The human body is so complex that their had to be a designer that made it. If not they you are saying we were made by chance. And if we were made by chance where did all the elements come from that made us? Something had to of but those elements in the world to make us? So there had to ber a uncause cause to but that stuff in the world and that uncause is God and he is the designer
I never said this because I can't explain something. I say this because the things that can be explained, which we understand, point to a greater being.
And if something looks designed doesn't automatically mean it is designed, but it does strongly suggest it, don't you think?
@thrdai God is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. He does not have a designer. He is the designer.
The spirit world is eternal, out of the boundaries of time, space and matter. Therefore there is no time there... hence God has existed for all eternity, He was there in the Beginning, the End, the Future, the Past, and hence He is for all Eternity. The universe had a beginning because it is in the boundaries of time. God isn't in the boundaries of time.
Why, because you say so? Oh, well that solves everything then!
Look, just because you can't explain something it doesn't automatically mean that god did it. If we just shrugged our shoulders and said "god did it" every time we were stumped by something we would never have cured polio, figured out how the planets move, or advanced beyond the bronze age.
Just because something looks designed doesn't mean it is so. Give THAT some serious though, and move beyond "God did it".

evolution can design creatures over time. Does God really have to exist?

@thrdai There is a design so there has to be a designer. Things cant come from nothing.
Where did the cosmic gases come from in evolution.... Nothing?

Look: Universe exists & we exist! -ergo: God exists!
...I could've just left it there but Poe's law requires me to add:
This is the case of "God did it!" taken to it's ultimate absurdity.
...Especially where science already has explanations for the phenomena attributed to divine intervention.

@thrdai
Designers are not designed. The just are. Give that some serious thought.
