I have never beaten this game. That one scrolling sequence? Always ran out of time.

I grew up with this game and it is one of my favorite games of all time. I have seen clips from the remake and it is failureeee compared to the original. Also, I played Kirby's Epic Yarn, and I like this much better. It just has better gameplay, imo. Kirby's Epic Yarn ended up annoying me, although I'm still glad I bought it... I guess.

is this gonna be like one of your lets plays?=3

You know you get points for running into enemies, right?

I wish they'd bring back the Egg Throwing mini-game. That one was always my favorite. :3

I would love to see more of these, as well as video announcements for when you get onto UStream-- I always manage to miss the streams :(

Wait, so arguably the best design-concept game of 2010 was Kirby's Epic Yarn and you're talking about one of its long-lost relatives? OK but I just had to point that out.

I still have this game, even if my NES doesn't work I'm keeping it. Classic. I got the GBA remake, but its not as charming, and the play control doesn't feel right w/the new art. It looks too surreal, or something. I am glad to see this game on the channel!
Did they remake this game for the GBA? because I remember playing a kirby game like this but not on the NES.

@vweet Yeah, it was remade as Nightmare in Dreamland for the GBA. They changed the art direction entirely, though, and not to its benefit. There's an article about Kirby's Adventure on Gamespite that puts it really well.

Something I noticed for the first time: in the room you're in at 8:26, some of the checkerboard tiles in and around the water are slightly distorted to help move your eyes towards the entrance and exit. Pretty neat!

@viciousweasel That's a really good find! Good eye!

What was the end of DC's joke? I couldn't tell if it was a non-joke or a horrible pun that I couldn't quite make out.

@Jalathas "What does DeceasedCrab say at a renaissance faire?"
"Huzzah?"
"No, 'prithee.'" (or "privy" it's hard to tell which)
