"One of us" - on ELKA X-1000

First I thought about making this a complicated multitrack act. But then I thought it could be fun to play it all in one take using only hands, feet, and the drum machine. The lower manual has a splitpoint enabling me to play this Ulvaeus and Anderson melody as if I was using a three manual organ. The ELKA EM-44 synthesizer (outside the picture) is controlled via MIDI and helps fattening up strings.

Hallo Organfairy,warum wird die ELKA X 705 noch bis zu 1000 Euro gehandelt,während bei Ebay eine ELKA X 1000 für 850 Euro angeboten wird.Also ein 90er Modell gegenüber der viel älteren x 705 aus dem Baujahr 1978 ? Und könnte es sein dass bei der X 1000 die schlagzeugsounds und solos nicht so gut sind als die in der ELKA X 30 ? Danke für deine antwortim vorraus.

@thommy491 - There is something intuitive about the design of X-705. I have tried to play it in a store once and it took me only a few minutes to get a great sound. The X-1000 is more complicated and it takes quite a while to get a good sound out of it. Also the X-705 is analogue while the X-1000 is FM - which many people hate (don't know why). Some people say that the X-1000 sounds dull. And finally some people want the X-705 just because Jean-Michel Jarre owned one.

I do not find too many Elka home organs in America, but you sound great! Elka used to make organs for Kimball organ company back in the mid 1980's.

@organfairy Dass die Orgel dumpf klingen soll habe ich auch schon gehört.aber man muss das nur richtig einstellen und dazu habe ich einen Solton PPC 500 Powermixer.Mein keybits hatte damals 6000 eurogekostet,aber nicht mal Tragegriffe oder Flight-case hatte das Instrument.Also da ist die X 1000 optisch viel besser und mir gefällt der farbige spieltisch.

@organfairy Oh,ich glaube auch nicht alles was mein Techniker mir schlechtes über ELKA X 1000 erzählt.Vielleicht kaufe ich mir nächstes weihnachten trotzdem auch so eine grosse ELKA X 1000.Die ELKA Orgeln sind schon prima.Aber die wollen immer nur Wersi oder Böhm verkaufen und reden deshalb Fremdfabrikate schlecht.Das hab ich schon erkannt.Bei Ebay ist geradeeine X 1000 für 850 euro.mal sehen vielleicht nächstes Jahr werden sie vielleicht noch etwas günstiger

Die ELKA ist eine Spitzenorgel und kann sogar in sachen techniksounds einer Böhm oder Wersi weit überlegen sein wenn man weiss wie man die Sounds klangvoll einstellt.man meint immer nur Böhm oder Wersi wäre das beste.Das ist gottseidank ein Irrtum.auch wenn mir so mancher Wersi oder Böhmtechniker was anderes glaubhaft machen wollte so muss das nicht unbedingt stimmen.ELKAsound ist eben mal was anderes
