Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Soren's Glitch

BHSoren sent me a replay in Super Smash Bros. Brawl with what he believes is a glitch related to Sheik.

Everything's going along as normal, but then, for some reason, Sheik suddenly turns right, runs off the edge at full speed, and does the down aerial attack to KO herself. But that isn't the glitch, it seems. Rather, Sheik caused a KO to Marth by using that poofing Vanish attack, which unexpectedly caused a "shock wave" attack. Poor Marth is too busy attacking and fell right into the right boundary.

I waited some time to put this up because I wasn't sure if I correctly identified the glitch. BHSoren has told me what the problem was, and I've fixed it in the description.

Nevertheless, I don't know if this was an intentional part of the attack or something else. It seems to have the same effect as Mario's FLUDD technique, which I know some people definitely use to shove unsuspecting players off the stage.

Food for thought. In the future, cut the video down to the 15 seconds that matter. Watching thru over 2 minutes of boring fight for the crap to happen at the end of the vid is so wasteful. And to make matters worse, suiciding after the glitch occurs to end the match. A boring end to a boring fight.

@flurryous2 At first, I wasn't sure what it was that triggered it. As I thought it was a glitch, potentially anything from the beginning of the fight up to right before the event could have triggered it. This is why I kept the entire match--if anyone who's familiar with it could give an explanation.

It's already been explained in the comments. It wasn't a glitch; it was a trait of Sheik's attacks.
