Romen Rue entered an annual nationwide free-throw shooting contest, which was open to kids ages 8 to 13 years old. Kids competed in their particular age brackets (8-9, 10-11, 12-13) in elimination style tournaments at the Local, District, State, and Regional levels to qualify for the National Finals in Springfield, Massachusetts.
