2010 SHO vs 2010 Camaro SS

In Luskville, west of Ottawa, Canada. Second portion of 1/4 mile was in bad shape, very bumpy! The trap speed are slower by about 2mph because of that...
I started late R/T of .349 for SHO and .03 for the SS :
SHO = 12.74 at 108mph (intake, exhaust, suspension and tune LMS stage 4+)
SS = 12.85 at 110mph (intake and tune)
We ran all day together and I was consistent with my 12,7's, but he ran anywhere between 12.76 and 13.85, depending on his launch. On that race, he had a good launch.... As for the SHO, it is AWD,so no excuses. : )

I will not drive camaro ss because it’s embracing v8 6.2 420hp and it’s too show. If you have 6.2 with 425hp it should kill every car out there. Just last week on the high way I saw a guy in camaro ss vs. evo mr and got beat by 2.0 4 cylinder with 290hp wow. Man I hope Chevy step up their game and come out with better v8 camaro like cts.

What matters is not just only the numbers of hp but how efficient they are (power under the curve) and more importantly the weight... Camaros are too heavy (so are the SHO btw). But a Camaro SS is supposed to be faster on highway than EVO or STI. Those two are fast to launch but their trap speed in 1/4 mile is around 105mph. Camaros are slower to lauch, but can hit around 110-114mph trap speed... So bottom line, thanks for your comments, but you are full of BS. lol

There are Camaros moddified hitting the 1/4 mile in 10 seconds... There is always a faster car out there, so the purpose should be just to enjoy the cars running. The real debates should be stocks for stocks. some cars are easier to modify too and it is the case with turbo cars.

Thx.As I said, he moddified his car, what can I do?After all, I think the opposite, I have the family sedan that weights 4,500lbs, so, he should have beat me.I know he beat me to cross the finish line, but that day, him and I were having the track for ourselves and we ran about 10 times against each other and at the end of the day he told me that my car was faster no matter what, I always had better times than him. On that race, he was faster to hit the gas, does that make his car faster? NO.; )

Also, when you are at the drags, many if not most of the cars aren't stock... so, we can't argue that Camaro or SHo is faster base on this race because both weren't stock!

What I can tell you is that a stock Camaro SS auto. has only 400hp and a lot of torque management, so its 1/4 mile are hogh 13's, but the manual SS has 426hp and it depends on the driver, but can get in high 12's. My SHO stock ran 13.56 best and modded 12.61s.

No need to be rude man. How can I suck as a driver if the car is automatic and AWD? I had over 200 runs with that car at the track and know that the best launches are at around 2000rpm. beside that, hold the steering, keep it straight and voilà!

I started late no you didn't. You suck as driver that all. I rented sho for 3 day and I drove it on highway and I race challenger and camaro and dodge charger rt so yea it’s not that you started late is just you can't driver that all dude.
