John Scott from Northampton sent a very polite email to access@FHM.com, inquiring whether the new Tesla Roadster was just a souped-up milk float, or an electric speedster worthy of the mantle of 'sports car'. Nobody's disputing the facts: the Tesla has a top speed of 125mph. It goes 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds. But how long does it take to charge? And is it possible, we asked the PR, to make it round the M25 in one juicing? Our man Alan Kindell was tossed they keys.
At least it did not come apart like on Top Gear this time. 146 is not very close to 230 range is it,and you are not on the 101 on a hot day in heavy traffic, wow that's sad.

The engine is on .... NOT. It's like saying that a fan is on just because you just plug It in, and then accelerating is pushing the on button ...

@CowsLovesCake ouch, you are all right. Its just 117 miles, too bad :(

@MishaelGD He says 117 miles. The length of the m25 is 117 miles. 217 with 50 remaining would be fine but 117 appears to be a bit low.

yeah have to admit i was pretty disappointed here. Was expecting to get at least 200 miles out of a full charge, otherwise it's a bit useless.
Hopefully the model s will be better for distance.

Hard to be impressed with such a disparity between the Tesla quoted range and what it actually delivered, but it's a great little car.
